Fishing shorts!

For the summer I have started to make shorts and matching shirts. These are so cute and so easy for the summer and they can even have ruffles added to make them a little more girly. Chances are if you see Charlie throughout the summer he will have on an appliqued shirt with shorts that match. If you would like an outfit for your little one just let me know and as always I highly recommend that you get 2 or 3 shirts so you can get more use out of the shorts. Shorts are $15 without ruffle and $17 with ruffle and a short and shirt set is $25.

Bubbles!

The "Taylor" bubble is the latest project I have been working on and I am in love with it. It is perfect for summer and the ruffles around the legs are the perfect touch for little girls (it can be made without the ruffles for little boys). This bubble like the jon jon and dresses can be made reversible and is $20 without applique and $25 with an applique. If you have a little girl and are looking for a easy and cute summer outfit let me know and I can make this cute as can be bubble for your little one, my sizes start at 2 and go up to 24 months.

Pirate Ship!

Sunday was a rainy and cold day and I had some fabric laying around just waiting to be made into and outfit. The finished product was a reversible jon jon with a Pirate Ship on one side and an initial "C" on the other.

Feeling a Little Crabby!

I have been getting in the mood for beach weather and summer as I am sure most everyone else has. In an effort to get Charlie ready I made this seersucker jon-jon with a red crab. I have plans to use this crab on a tee shirt as well and pair it with his seersucker shorts and even his bathing suit the possibilities are endless. I can't wait for Charlie to get to wear this out and about I just know he is going to look so cute. Here's to wishing for warmer weather!

Little Girl Dresses with Appliques!

These are a few of my latest projects, I did them for a girl I met in my sewing class. She has a little girl that is only a week or so older then Charlie, she made these dresses or is in the process of making them and wanted to have some appliques put on them and that is where I came into the pictures.

Jon Jon!

I finished up my sewing class this week and finished my first Jon Jon from start to finish. It is reversible so you get 2 outfits in one which is always a plus. It can be made to not be reversible with just a broadcloth lining and it can also be appliqued or monogrammed. The one I made I appliqued a rectangle patch on it with a car from the fabric on the reverse and the revers I left alone since it was already very busy. These are great and easy for summer and can also be made as a long all for the fall and winter. I have added the jon jon to my price list, if you are interested in having them made for your boys let me know and we can work on some fabric. For those with girls I have a patter for a dress that is very similar and can also be made reversible once I get one made I will add some picture.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I have been busy lately working on several different projects and as I work on each one of these projects I am getting better and better. Not only do I have my applique and monogramming projects I am now taking a sewing class to learn how to make a Jon Jon, a little girls dress and a bubble for both boys and girls. I decided to take this class because I so desperately wanted to be able to make a Jon Jon but I was a little lost when I tried to do it myself and just got frustrated. When Josh gave me a gift certificate for one sewing class for Christmas I knew that this one would be perfect. Stay tuned for pictures of the Jon Jon and if you are in need of a Jon Jon for your little boy or a bubble or dress for your little girl let me know and I would be so happy to work with you. Other then that I hope everyone enjoys the pictures of my latest projects!
